The fourth Game Days will take place (30 June – 1 July 2017) as part of the Fest Anča International Animation Festival. It aims to open a dialogue and bridge the worlds of digital games and animated film by acquainting the public with creating computer and console games through expert presentations of international developer studies. Game Days will also feature several game-focused documentary films.
At this year’s event, young developers can also present their upcoming game projects and test them live with gamers. Game Days will also include an exhibition created in cooperation with the Slovak Design Museum, focusing on early games made in Slovakia between 1987 and 1993. A midnight gaming session and truly unconventional games will keep night owls entertained.
Over Game Days’ two days, the unique Žilina New Synagogue will live and breathe digital games, featuring ten guests from across Europe. Fest Anča’s special 10th birthday programme will feature renowned names and upcoming talents, as well as globally established and respected creators.
Last year’s Game Jam quick-fire production of game prototypes was such a success that we’re pushing forward with a second edition! It aims to support teamwork and improvisation, while pushing the technical and creative envelope for 48 hours. Great prizes await successful gamers. Register for Game Jam now!
Tickets for Fest Anča Game Days can be purchased on the door for EUR 15, or get your full festival pass in advance for just EUR 20 via our pre-sale.
