Anča Award

Anča Award is an international competition of short animated films made in the last two years. 1,589 films were registered last year. 34 of them were classified into competitive sections in the international competition category. The winning film will be selected by a three-member international committee.

On the last day of the festival, 2nd July at 16:00 in the New Synagogue in Žilina, the Anča Award winner will be announced and awarded €800.

Anča Student Award

For the fourth time, Fest Anča will also award the best student film made in the last two years in the international competition. Among the films in the main competition, there are also student films that can compete for the Anča Student Award. The winning student film will be selected by an international committee.

On the last day of the festival, 2nd July at 16:00 in the New Synagogue in Žilina, the Anča Student Award winner will be announced and awarded €400.

Anča Music Video Award

The Anča Music Video Award is an international competition of animated video clips made in the last two years. Last year, 32 video clips were selected for this special category. An international committee will select the winner.

On the last day of the festival, 2nd July at 16:00 in the New Synagogue in Žilina, the winner will be announced and awarded €400.

Anča Kids’ Award

Once again this year, Fest Anča will award the best animated film for children. And because adults (as we know) don’t understand much at all, the winning film will be selected by a special children’s committee!

Animation Karaoke Battle

This competition aims for the performance of any creative activity during a randomly selected animated film. This in an opportunity for poets, musicians, DJs, performers, sound engineers, noisers, singers, rappers and other creative applicants. This enables us to make animated film more approachable to a wider circle of people. This competition is open to all, but the number of participants is limited. A randomly assembled audience committee will decide the winner. The most creative, most fascinating or funniest live commentary of a selected animated film sequence will win.
